Short description
This standard describes a calculation method for the quantification of fugitive dust emissions as a result of vehicle-induced turbulence caused by driving movements on paved and unpaved, commercially or industrially used roads. The application of the method presented is limited to paved roads with fleet weights of up to 38 tons on average over a period of observation, thus covering the majority of typical applications. There are no restrictions with respect to the fleet weight for unpaved routes. The standard addresses both assessors and operators of e.g. stone pits, and representatives of authorities.
