This standard specifies the requirements for the development of interlaboratory testing schemes and the performance and evaluation of interlaboratory testing schemes for olfactometry under laboratory conditions. It covers interlaboratory tests with sample shipping and interlaboratory tests with sampling. In the context of an interlaboratory test with sample shipment samples are sent out and then analysed by the participant. In an interlaboratory test with sampling constant emission conditions are generated at a ducted source (interlaboratory test facility) and the samples are taken by the participant with his own sampling equipment and then analysed.This standard applies to providers of interlaboratory tests, to accreditation bodies, to test laboratories and competent authorities in the field of immission control.
