Short description

This guideline deals with radial runout testing of spur gears, bevel gears and wormwheels. A short listing of the various measuring methods is intended to provide the user with an overview of the principle possibilities of radial measurement.Recommendations are given for execution of the test and for the evaluation of measured results. In addition, its intention is to improve the reliability of the radial runout test by formulation of some device inspection criteria. Jointly with the DIN standards already available, this guideline should serve to be able to conduct the tests with customers and equipment manufacturers according to unified conditions.
