Short description
This standard defines a procedure model that can be applied to middleware engineering processes in automation engineering. This procedure model illustrates the sequence, activities and methods to be applied. It can be used in its entirety or for individual phases and processes. The time sequence of the individual processes is only roughly considered. Usually, they run in parallel, overlapping or in several iteration steps. These relationships are not represented. The standard describes which processes and models are required to create or commission applications based on a middleware. The engineering of a middleware and the relevant tools are not covered by the procedure model.
