Short description
With ratio radiation thermometers, the temperature is determined by measuring and creating the ratio of the radiance in two wavelength ranges. In VDI/VDE 3511 Part 4, basic instructions are given for performing the temperature measurements with radiation temperature measuring instruments in an advantageous way. Based on this, VDI/VDE 3511 Part 4.7 introduces the basics of ratio radiation thermometers and gives instructions for their use in practice. This standard is aimed at users of ratio radiation thermometers. It deals with the mode of operation and the design of ratio radiation thermometers and points out specific characteristics when handling them.
