Short description
The application of the BIM method is establishing in national and international construction industries. Following this, the information management of building-related data in development, planning, constructing, operation, and deconstruction is increasingly coming into focus. To ensure successful implementation and execution, stakeholders have to define and implement requirements in the form of BIM use cases. For this purpose, requirements are defined in employers information requirements (EIR), which are substantiated in the course of the project using BIM execution plans (BEP). Structural specifications already exist for both the EIR and the BEP (cf. VDI 2552 Part 10). The uniform understanding and corresponding structure for the BIM use cases contained in the EIR and the BEP are described in this standard.
