This detail specification defines the electrical and mechanical requirements for flexible coaxial cables assembled with coaxial RF connectors type 9,52. The principal changes compared to the previous edition concern the requirements for the reflectance factor and insertion loss, which are now to be measured using the triaxial method according to IEC 62153-4-7. Shielding class B has been omitted. The responsible committee is DKE/K 412 "Kommunikationskabel (Kabel, Leitungen, Wellenleiter, Lichtwellenleiter, Komponenten, Zubehör und Anlagentechnik für die Nachrichten- und Informationsübertragung" ("Communication cables (cables, conductors, waveguides, fibre optic cables, components, accessories and systems technology for communication and data transmission") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
