Short description

The guideline is applicable to stationary hazardous waste incinerator units, in which wastes are incinerated which cannot be treated as domestic refuse, or waste similar to domestic refuse, in incinerator units according to guideline VDI 2114, unless there are other statutory regulations for disposal in an individual case (for example Explosives Act, Nuclear Energy Act, Carcass Disposal Act). The incineration of wastes from hospitals and other health service establishments is dealt with in guideline VDI 2301. The guideline does not apply to waste pyrolysis units.
